Before you get set up
Do I need a new phone number?
You need a number that isn’t active on the WhatsApp app, or one you’re ready to move to the WhatsApp Business Platform. It must be able to receive a code by SMS or call.
How are WhatsApp’s own charges paid?
Meta charges per delivered template message and bills you directly, through the payment method on your WhatsApp account. Replies within 24 hours of a customer’s message are free. ConnectBatch’s fee is billed separately.
Who can I message?
Only people who agreed to hear from you, such as customers who gave you their number or people who registered with you. This is WhatsApp’s rule, and it protects your number’s quality rating.
Do I need documents to start?
No. Meta may ask you to verify your business later to raise your daily messaging limit, and we’ll help when it does.
